Hair Extensions

We pride ourselves in specialising in hair extensions.

We have a dedicated hair extension stylist in salon who will be able to help you with all of your hair extension requirements.

• Ask our in-house stylist about the kind of brush to use so that you don’t tangle or tug your extensions. Generally we would recommend that you brush your hair with a brush that has soft, natural bristles.
• Regularly separate the hair strands around the bonds gently with your fingers to help keep your extensions in good condition for as long as possible.
• Tie back your hair loosely with snag free hair elastics at night to try and keep tangles and knots to a minimum.

• If you’re working out, or going to the gym, or on a run, we’d recommend that you braid your extensions beforehand to make sure the hair extensions are protected and out of the way.
• When washing your hair you should treat your extension like you would a baby’s hair. Use a gentle shampoo and work the shampoo through your extensions without excessively rubbing or pulling on your extensions.
• If your hair extensions get wet, we’d suggest gently squeezing your strands to get out the extra moisture, and gently pat your hair with a towel.

• Be careful if you’re planning on styling your extensions into an updo. Buns or nots could pull your extensions into a different direction, rather than hang down, which is their natural tendency, which could cause you issues. If you’re not sure, feel free to pop into the salon to get them professionally styled.
• You should never apply a heating tool (straighteners, curling irons etc) directly to the bonds of your hair extensions as you will risk melting then. As a general rule of thumb you should stick to moderate heat settings when using heating tools on your hair, or hair extensions, and make sure that you’ve applied some heat protection before attempting this.

• Just like regular hair, we’d recommend that you visit the salon every 6 weeks to have your hair extensions professionally trimmed, washed and styled just like regular hair.
• If you’re planning on going swimming, we’d recommend wearing a swimming cap to protect from salt water and chlorine damage (we know they’re not sexy, but, they’ll protect those extensions).
• Regularly use moisturising conditioner on your hair, as well as regular hair treatments to keep your new extensions in great condition.
